Hotel with biologically sustainable agriculture

Our nature hotel is a holiday retreat built using principles of building biology, featuring sustainable, high-quality furnishings (especially wood), and it is also a certified organic farm.

The Darrehof as a certified organic mountain farm

• We farm around 20 hectares of grassland, 4 hectares of grazing pastures, and around 15 hectares dedicated to hay production
• We fertilise exclusively with our own manure
• We have a bio-certified orchard at the Serfaus pond in St. Georgen (apples, pears, apricots, plums, Spänling, grapes)
• Bread that is no longer used goes to our animals

Naturhotel Darrehof

• Our hotel is furnished with high-quality wooden furniture from TEAM7 and local solid-wood furniture
• Our floors are also made from the sustainable material wood
• The building was largely constructed according to building-biology principles
• Among other materials, fired bricks were used
• We owe the particularly pleasant indoor climate in the Greiter house to the natural stone wall
• For the rest of the furnishings, we mainly rely on natural materials
• As a house with farming roots, we want to preserve our close connection to nature
• Our Naturhotel Darrehof in Serfaus is a certified Green Hotel with the Austrian Ecolabel, characterised by sustainable construction, organic farming, and environmentally friendly materials
