Yay, everyone … Easter is finally here! I've been looking forward to it all winter long! The snow is slowly disappearing, the days are getting longer, and the first flowers are starting to bloom. And best of all …. so many chocolate Easter bunnies!!! The only annoying part is, you have to find them first!
Okay, so I was up bright and early to make sure I'd catch the delicious organic breakfast at the hotel, since I knew I'd surely get a chocolate bunny there, even if I didn't find any on the way! Out of the stable I went, galloping full tilt around the bend, and I actually stumbled straight over the first Easter egg. "Who lost this here?" I wondered as I picked it up, and still lost in thought, I tripped over the second one right at the corner of the riding arena. "That can't be a coincidence now!" … I got genuinely curious, there had to be more of them! Back to the stable for a proper look! I searched everywhere, the holiday apartment, the horse stable, and while digging through the sand in the riding hall, I felt just like a truffle pig … nothing, absolutely nothing … what a disappointment!
So off to the hotel after all, but now I really had to hurry, otherwise the guests would eat up all the chocolate bunnies, and I'd have to start searching all over again! But I hadn't quite given up hope yet, and I gave the path into the village of Serfaus a thorough sniff, just like a bloodhound! And sure enough, the Easter bunny had actually played a little joke and placed a bright red Easter egg right in the middle of one of the last patches of snow … what a prankster, now I had to trudge through deep snow in early April just to get my Easter egg! What a silly joke!!!
With cold hooves, I zigzagged my way onward toward the hotel. An egg here, an egg there … I found one by the "Parkplatz" underground station, another by the village church, one sneakily hidden one was by the pizzeria, and then, right in front of the hotel under the flowers, I found a proper Easter nest with a chocolate bunny and a chocolate egg … that certainly made me reconcile with the Easter bunny again!
Quickly off to the breakfast room … yes, yes, you can always count on Lia and Toni, our breakfast waiters … they'd actually set aside two chocolate bunnies just for me, so I wouldn't miss out … good old Lia! So, once my spirits had been lifted again, I just couldn't help myself … there had to be more Easter bunnies to find … all over the village of Serfaus, even taking the Komperdell lift up into the ski area and annoying the skiers, then riding a sledge down the toboggan run … nothing, not a trace of the Easter bunny!
Tired and worn out, I dragged myself back to my stable, where the good mountain hay was already waiting for me … yes, okay, hay is fine and all, but it's just not a chocolate Easter bunny … I munched away dreamily on my hay … and what was hidden underneath … a giant chocolate bunny … oh happy Easter!!!
