There are many things we can organise for you, but even we are powerless when it comes to the weather! But even if the sky is crying from above, it's no reason to sit around moping. We offer a wide range of possibilities to make even a rainy day enjoyable, peaceful, relaxed and above all restful.
Children's games
Regardless of the weather, there are plenty of things to keep youngsters entertained in our children's playroom. You will find various board and card games in our hotel bar.
Alternative riding programme
As riding is partly an outdoor sport, we avoid going for rides in bad weather for health reasons. But this is by no means a reason to miss out on fun and games with the horses and the other animals. The horses love days such as these because they are utterly spoiled. Horse grooming and horse beauty is the order of the day. The lush manes and tails of our Haflingers call out for a hairdo – there are no limits to creativity. And when we get a fun group together, we can hold a beauty contest. If the children still have energy to burn, they can use it to get the stable shipshape again. The group dynamics of activities such as these are priceless. All children are welcome to join in.
Books for children and teens
In our breakfast room, children and teenagers (and of course adults, too) will find a variety of exciting books, including many books about horses. Perhaps it will be your child who discovers a love of reading and books on one of those lazy, leisurely days. In an age of computer games and soap operas on TV, this is no bad thing. You are also welcome to take the books to your room/apartment.
Spa
Our Darrehof Vitality Oasis invites you to laze around and relax. This is something that many people have forgotten how to do in their stressful working lives. Take advantage of bad weather days to simply do "nothing" for once! When was the last time you had the chance to do nothing? You don't even need to have a guilty conscience. It's bad weather, you're not missing anything. Have a swim, take a sauna, doze in the relaxation area, or read a good book – simply rest. Bad weather can be a good thing.
Excursions
If you would like to do something despite the bad weather, we have put together a list of places to visit on the "Excursions" page. Experiencing a bit of culture or simply shopping are great things to do when the weather is bad.
If you don't fancy driving, the Serfaus taxi company "Taxi Purtscher" runs daily excursions in the surrounding area – ask at the reception.
For wet weather fans
There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing. There are various hiking and biking routes that can be used in bad weather. However, we do not recommend tours in high alpine terrain in bad weather.
